August was a busy month for student volunteer community service projects.  On August 13th Milton Hershey High School students joined the volunteer work force.  Although it was a hot day, students cut back the brush on State Park Lane from the SAMBA Mountain Bike Trails Parking Lot to the Swatara Rail Trail and picked up litter along State Route 443.

On the 25th of August Lebanon Valley College woman's volleyball team and the men's and women's cross country track teams cleared brush along two trails and mulched the trees and rocks at Swopes Valley Trailhead.

We are very grateful for their sterling community service and  look forward to working with both groups again in the near future!
